Our studio is thrilled to offer trial class options for children to try out the art of dance with our enthusiastic and passionate staff. Trial Class tuition is only $15.00 per dancer, per class, (please note: trial class tuition is non-refundable and space is limited). If there is enough interest we will open additional trial classes. A parent may observe this trial class.
Trial Class Information: Date: Monday, April 13th Location: Melissa's School of Dance, 320 A Central Avenue, Butner, North Carolina. 27509 Time for‘Me & My Teddy’ Trial Class (for 3 – 6 years olds): 5:00 - 5:45 p.m. Time for‘Feel the Beat’ (7 years olds and older): 6:00 - 6:45 p.m. Tuition for Trial Class: $15.00 per dancer, per class
Trial Class Descriptions: ‘Me & My Teddy’ (3 – 6 years olds) - We will offer ‘Me & My Teddy’ for dancers age 3 – 6 years old. Dancers are encouraged to bring a small teddy bear / stuffed animal to join them for this fun class. The “Me & My Teddy class” will cover some of the genres of dance that our studio plans to offer next dance season. This is a wonderful way for them to try out a genre that could become their passion.
‘Feel the Beat’ (7 years olds and older) - For children 7 and older, we will offer ‘Feel the Beat.’ This trial class will give your child the opportunity to try some of the genres of dance that our studio plans to offer next dance season. In addition to choreography, dancers will explore fun exercises that help build their confidence and endurance.
Dance attire for trail class: Option 1: leotard with tights or socks and ballet shoes. Option 2: t-shirt and cotton / knit shorts with thick socks.
Please note: no bare feet or outside shoes on the dance floor. No jeans / no denim like material or pants that button or zip.
When can I register for the regular dance season? Our regular dance season begins in August. Dancers who participate in a MSOD trail class are eligible for early registration starting on Monday, April 13th. These classes tend to fill up quickly, and gives you the opportunity to register before registration opens fully to the public.
