Spring Sessions are an optional, 3 week fun program that occurs after our showcase in May (our showcase marks the end of our regular dance season). These classes are for new dancers that are interested in trying out dance and our current dancers that want to continue their training or learn new skills. Registration for Spring Sessions is currently open. Some of you have also shown interest in an adult spring session, stay tuned for more details, and please email Melissa if you are interested.
Mommy and Me (Parent and Me) - for a toddler and 1 grown up Join us for a fun class of exploration, movement, learning, and bonding! A wonderful opportunity for little ones and parents to make new friends!
Shining Stars - for 3 - 6 year olds: A fun and exciting environment for sweet dancers. Dancers will explore rhythm, dance vocabulary, and creative movement. This is a wonderful opportunity to make new friends, explore dance, and have fun! Tumbling, Tricks, & Technique I - Dancers 7 and older: For dancers 7 years old and older who are looking to set goals and achieve skills to take their training to the next level. This session will be challenging with difficult movement, conditioning, and more. Dancers will be challenged at their level for tumbling, turning, and a variety of other dance skills that are used during the regular dance season. There will also be a Tumbling, Tricks, and Technique II for those with experience.
Stretch & Sip - Adults Only The countdown to summer is ON! Let's finish Spring with creating healthy habits to continue through the summer and beyond. Melissa's School of Dance is hosting 'Stretch and Sip' encouraging our community to set healthy and cozy time aside to take care of your body and mind. This 3 week session can give you the tools you need to set healthy habits at home that are wonderful for physical and mental health. Bring a cup of your favorite lemon water, boba, or tea. Not required, but feel free to bring a stretching mat and / or stretching block (blocks can help make stretches deeper, we will have some blocks available to borrow if you are interested).
Stretch and Sip is a fusion of pilates basics, active stretching, and some of our favorite dance warm ups set to relaxing and feel good music, with an occasional upbeat hit to get our hearts going. Refreshments are not provided. We ask that everyone leave their refreshments off the dance floor, in a designated area, to prevent spilling, however, we will take many sip breaks throughout the session.
How Do I Register To reserve her positions for the MSOD Spring Sessions, there is a $10.00 registration fee. Spring Session tuition is only $50.00 (per student which includes the set of 3 classes) this includes all three sessions of immersive fun, friendship, exercise, and adventures through movement & music!
